Coorg, Mysore and Ooty Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Bangalore & Transfer to Mysore

Arrive in Bangalore and begin your journey to Mysore (approximately 3-4 hours by car). Upon arrival in Mysore, check into your hotel and freshen up. Afterward, visit the magnificent Mysore Palace, a stunning example of Indo-Saracenic architecture. You can also visit the Chamundeshwari Temple on Chamundi Hill for a panoramic view of the city. In the evening, head to Brindavan Gardens (around 30 km from Mysore) to witness the musical fountain show.

Day 2

Mysore to Coorg

After breakfast, leave for Coorg (approximately 3-4 hours drive). Once you arrive, check into your hotel and relax. In the afternoon, visit the Abbey Falls, a beautiful waterfall surrounded by lush greenery. You can also visit the Coffee Plantations in Coorg, as it is famous for its coffee cultivation. If time permits, explore the Madikeri Fort or take a short hike to the Raja's Seat for a stunning sunset view.

Day 3

Explore Coorg

On the third day, start your day with a visit to Dubare Elephant Camp, where you can interact with elephants and even participate in activities like feeding them. Afterward, visit Talakaveri, the origin of the Kaveri River, located in the Brahmagiri Hills. In the evening, you can relax or visit the Omkareshwara Temple, known for its unique blend of Islamic and Gothic architecture.

Day 4

Coorg to Ooty

After breakfast, drive from Coorg to Ooty (approximately 6-7 hours by car). Once you arrive, check into your hotel and freshen up. If time permits, take a walk around Ooty Lake, where you can enjoy a boat ride. You can also explore Ooty Botanical Gardens, which is home to various species of plants and flowers. In the evening, enjoy the cool weather and relax in the picturesque hill station.

Day 5

Explore Ooty

Start your day with a visit to Doddabetta Peak, the highest point in the Nilgiris, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding hills. Then, head to Rose Garden and Government Botanical Garden for a leisurely stroll through the lush greenery. If you’re interested in trains, take a ride on the Nilgiri Mountain Railway to experience the scenic beauty of the region. You can also explore the Ooty Tea Factory and learn about the tea-making process.

Day 6

Departure from Ooty

On your final day, you can either enjoy some free time in Ooty, visit any spots you may have missed, or relax before your journey back to Bangalore. You can take a drive back to Bangalore (approximately 6-7 hours) for your departure, or opt for a flight from Coimbatore (which is around 3-4 hours away from Ooty) if that fits your schedule better.
